It's amazing how something can be right in front of your face and not be seen. I checked Clive Cussler's novels and did not find one semicolon. Elimination makes for a much smoother read. I was just about finished editing STAY ON THE BLUE GRASS that had been released unedited. Now, I'm going back and eliminating the semicolons. Wow! What a difference. Very smooth reading.
